The Tulsa Vette Set was established in 1971 and is still going strong. We are pleased that you have joined us. Our club can furnish you with an unlimited amount of new friends, technical assistance, social gatherings and racing events.
We hold many different events throughout the year, with something for everyone. Just a sample --
We have cruises, dinners, happy hours, parties - whenever there’s a chance to drive and eat, we take advantage. We have last minute get-togethers, and lots and lots of car shows.
We participate in just about any show that will have us, including the New Car Auto Show and the Starbird Rod and Custom Show. We also work at the Santiago and Smith Auctions giving us a chance to get behind the wheel of some cars made of metal.
We hold racing events and we attend competitive racing events of other regional clubs. There are other non-Corvette clubs in the Tulsa area that invite us to participate in autocrossing, and maybe a drag race event or two. Take advantage of the opportunity to learn just how well your car handles.
We take several one and two day trips to various attractions or events. We even caravanned to the opening of the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green and many of us attended the 50th Anniversary celebration.
The Eureka Springs Corvette Weekend is probably our favorite fall event. We are part of the unique group that puts it on - we sponsor the Economy Run - and we are the best-attended club! This is always the first full weekend in October, so mark it on your calendar now.
Throughout the year we raise money for the Little Light House through our door prizes and other designated events. It's a great opportunity for us to give to a local organization that helps so many.
Each month, at the Hardesty Regional Library 8316 East 93rd, we hold our business meeting. It’s always the first Tuesday of the month and starts at 7:00 p.m. This forum allows all members to attend and find out what is going on. It’s a perfect opportunity for you to meet the rest of the members.
Directors meetings are held once a month as well. These meetings are open to all members and they are held on the third Thursday following the business meeting. The meeting place for these meetings is South Pointe Chevrolet in South Tulsa.
And speaking of the newsletter….The Vette Gazette is your key to what’s going on. It will give you reports from all the happenings that could be covered, by a variety of ace reporters. Don’t be shy, you too can contribute to this effort.
Along with your membership to TVS, you become a member of the National Council of Corvette Clubs. You will receive information directly from them along with the rulebook and subscription to the Blue Bars magazine.
Our sponsor, Danny Beck Chevrolet, offers all members a discount on parts and service. Show your membership card to receive this discount. And when you are ready to trade up to the brand new Corvette, don’t forgot to shop there.
